Mussoorie
Mussoorie, the queen of the hills, is one of the most popular and fascinating hill resort of northern India. Its green hills and varied fauna and flora make it a colourful and picturesque hill station, commanding a wonderful view of extensive Himalayan snow ranges to the North-East, and Panoramic view of the Doon valley to the south.

Haridwar
Haridwar (also known as Hardwar) is a holy city in the state of Uttarakhand in northern India. Known as the Gateway to the Gods, Haridwar is considered one of the seven holiest places according to Hindus, as the devas are said to have left their footprints there. Here pilgrims float diyas on the Ganges, to commemorate their deceased ancestors. The city also stands as a gateway to three other important pilgrimage destinations: Rishikesh, Badrinath, and Kedarnath. In Haridwar you will see a great statue of Shiva at the fork of the river.

Rishikesh
Rishikesh is yet another centre of pilgrimage and tourist attraction for Indians as well as foreigners. Rishikesh is popularly known as the Yoga Capital of the World. Rishikesh is 28 kms from Haridwar on way to Badrinath and is situated at the foothills on either side of holy river Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik ranges from three sides Rishikesh complex consists of three distinct areas, known as Rishikesh, Muni-ki-Reti and Swargashram.

Lansdown
Lansdowne is a Military station developed by the Britishers, which is catering for the Recruits Training center of the Garhwal Rifles. The war memorial at the Parade Ground of the Garhwal Rifles Center is an attraction for the visitors. Area of the city is about 6.09 sq. km. Total population as per 1991 census is 7,106 with 4,415 male populations and 2,691 female population. The literacy percentage of the city is 89.58. The climate of the city is pleasent in summer, very cold in winter.

Dhanaulti
Dhanaulti is fast emerging as a gem among the major travel destination in Uttarakhand, on Mussoorie-Chamba road at 2250 m above sea level.It comes as a pleasant surprise for the weekend enthusiastic travelers who find it more peaceful more relaxing and serene. It's a different experience altogether.

Chamba
Chamba is an unexplored, untouched, serene destination located at an altitude of 1676 m, 60 km from Mussoorie, in the Tehri district of Uttarakhand.An unspoilt territory and covered with lots of pine and deodar trees, Chamba offers a never explored interlude. Unlike Mussoorie, the place is very quiet, serene and offers picturesque beauty and is an excellent place to relax and fun and drive away the city blues.

Auli
Auli, 8 km from Joshimath is an ideal winter resort run by Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN). A 3 km long slope ranging from a height of 2519 to 3049 m is a major attraction. The Auli resort run by GMVN has snow beaters which beat the snow to keep the slopes fit for skiing at all times. A 500 m long ski-lift carries skiiers back to the slope top, thus saving them the trouble and time to bridge up wearing long skis.

Pauri

pauri is Panoramic Pauperched at an altitude of 1830 metres on the northern slopes of Kandoliya hills. The peaceful resort affords a fine view of the snow Himalayan peaks.

Chopta
Chopta is situated at Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand State, also known as mini Switzerland of India. Chopta is located at 2,800mts above sea level, surrounded by the dense forest. Chopta provides majestic view of snow capped Himalaya's major peaks Nanda Devi, Chukhamba and Trishul. This place is very rich for flora and fauna.

Chakrata
Chakrata, the previous name was Jaunsar Bawar is situated at the elevation of 5500-6500 feet from the sea level in Dehradun district, the capital of Uttarakhand state. Chakrata is 92 km away from Dehradun and 73 km from Mussoorie in the Garhwal region of state between the Yamuna and Tons River. It was originally a cantonment of British Indian Army.

Popular destinations of Kumaon
Nainital
This hill station situated in the picturesque Kumaon region is situated around the lake Naini. Seven mountains or the Sapta Shring surrounds the city.Apart from its scenic beauty Nainital is famous for its scented candles. The hill station offers a wonderful holiday retreat from the hectic routine of the cities.

Kausani
There are very few places in the Himalayas which can compare with the beauty of Kaushani.As the entire Kumaon Hills have been known for their idyllic beauty with the huge mountains silhouetted against the sky.Kausani was originally called Valna. Kausani offers the magic of the deep pine forests and the majestic mountains.

Almora
The ancient town of Almora, before it's establishment was under the possession of Katyuri king Baichaldeo. He donated major part of this land to a Gujrati Brahmin Sri Chand Tiwari. Later on when Chand kingdom was founded in Baramandal, the town of Almora was founded at this centrally located place in 1560 by Kalyan Chand.

Ranikhet
Ranikhet (The Queen's Field) has come to be known so because according to popular belief, this spot had won the heart of Rani Padmini, Queen of Raja Sudhardev and she chose this scenic spot to be her abode.To view nature & its elements in full harmony, the right place to be is Ranikhet. It is the place which wonderfully mirrors the best of the heavenly Himalayas offering excellent views of the snowcapped Nanda Devi (7817m), lush green forests, delicate plant life and attractive wild life.

Binsar
The summer capital of the erstwhile Chand Rajas (7th - 18th Centrury), Binsar is a picturesque, sleepy hamlet one of the most scenic spots in the Kumaon Himalayas.Pitched a the impressive altitude of 2420 m, 35 kms from Almora it offers a majestic view of the snow covered Himalayan peas the mesmerizing range of Chaukhamba, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Shivling and Panchachuli.

Mukteshwer
At a distance of 52 km. from Nainital, Mukteshwar set atop a high ridge, is a beautiful Himalayanresort. Surrounded by fruit orchards and thick coniferous forest, it provides a majestic view of the Himalayas and the Almora town below in glittering moonlit nights. The famous Indian Veterinary Research Institute is also located here.

Jageshwer
Counted among the 12 Jyotirlings in the country, Jageshwar lies in a beautiful narrow valley hedged by monarch-sized, ancient deodars. Of the over 100 small and large shrines of this complex, the three outstanding ones, in terms of sculpture, are dedicated of Jageshwar, Mrityunjaya and Pushtidevi. Jageshwar temple has sculpted dwarpals standing guard at its entrance . Although the presiding deity at Jageshwar is shiva a strong Buddhist influence is visible in the carvings. It is about 100 Kms. from Nainital.

Corbett
Jim Corbett National Park spreads in Nainital, Pauri Garhwal and Bijnor District of Uttarakhand. This forest reserve covers 1318.54 sq kms area in which 520 sq kms is the core area, which is the tiger reserve of Corbett National Park and rest area is buffer zone.

Bhimtal
Bhimtal is located in the Kumaon region of Uttrakhand , in the northern region of India. It is located at an altitude of 1,371 m above sea level amongst the Kumaon hills. It is 23 km from Nainital. The main tourist attraction of this small hill station is its lake. It is one of the largest lakes in the district of Nainital. The lake offers scope for boating to the travelers. In the middle of the lake, there is a beautiful island with a restaurant. The island provides a panoramic view of the lake as well as its luxuriant surroundings.
